I have a question I need answered: The local judge here in Brunswick county, North Carolina, has made threats to imprison people for 60 days and fine them $500 for wearing shorts in the court room. Can she do that? This judge also makes people swear on a bible before saying anything and refusal to do so can be punished by 120 days in jail.
